Ah-ha! I have finally finished painting panel one of my revamped Parataxis comic!



Was originally intending to paint all the trees individually but very quickly grew bored with that. Instead lots of duplicating layers :)

I must say, it came out a lot more painterly than I had intended but I like it. What will panel two look like? I don't yet know...

No problem. It reminds me of classic marvel comics in the 70's. Is that where you get your inspiration from?

I haven't actually read many Marvel's from the seventies but I did study 'How To Draw Comics The Marvel Way' quite closely a few years ago. There's a way that superhero comics should be drawn and I think that the seventies and eighties saw the height of that.

I imagine what Civil War would have been like if it had been drawn by John Byrne and I think it would have been a hell of a lot better.

I used to have that same book. I used to get all the how to draw books but I was to lazy to do it how they wanted to do it so I did it my way. haha.
But i think with out help it takes longer to develop your own style. I like it.
